In addition to writing as Rachel Thompson, I’m also a social media and author marketing/branding consultant. *Notice I don’t say expert, guru, or any of those goofy words #eek

Here’s my deal: I started my blog, RachelintheOC back wow, in ’08. Mostly because like you, I had something to say. And after hanging all day with my precious Tasmanian devil child young son, I wanted to share my thoughts and feelings on topics other than diapers and formula. Fancy that. I embraced blogging and social media like a dog to a bone. Perhaps it’s my sales and marketing background (fifteen years of pharma sales — I’m now recovered, thanks) or my Communications/Journalism degrees, but I couldn’t wait to get all up in this (snap) new media stuff. Blogger, Facebook, Twitter — yea! Okay…I’m here everyone…! Now what? *crickets*

Perhaps many of you feel the same. And that’s where I come in. I learned how to brand myself, pre-release activities required prior to book launch, all about Amazon, and what it takes to make my three books (Broken Pieces, A Walk In The Snark, and Mancode: Exposed) Number One bestsellers!

Rachel will be sharing her infinite wisdom on the following panels at C4 Lit Fest:

Self Publishing Advanced
